Two Critical after Antioch Car Crash at Deer Valley Road and Asilomar Drive

Antioch, California – On Monday night an Antioch car accident that took place at Deer Valley Road and Asilomar Drive, two people were severely injured.

On August 23, at around 11:36 pm, the firefighters responded to the accident between a small sedan and a large pickup truck.

The driver of the truck didn’t stop at the red light and collided with the sedan at the intersection.

The emergency crew members extricated the occupants from the car after taking more than 30 minutes. Both of the occupants were airlifted to John Muir Trauma Center as they sustained severe injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck left the scene on foot however was located and taken into custody.

The cause of the collision is under investigation by the authorities.
