Teen critically injured in Santa Paula Bike Accident on West Santa Barbara Street

Santa Paula, California – Following a Santa Paula bike accident that happened in the 100 block of West Santa Barbara Street on Wednesday evening, a teen was hospitalized with major injuries, according to the police.

On September 22, at around 5:53 pm, a 16-year-old Santa Paula boy was riding his bike when he was hit by a car, the authorities stated.

The boy was rushed to the Ventura County Medical Center sustaining critical injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

Alcohol or drugs were not believed to be the factor in the accident according to the police.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Santa Paula Police Department.
