One Killed, 2 Injured in Sacramento Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 5 near Airport Boulevard
Sacramento, California – Following the Sacramento accident that occurred late Sunday night on Interstate 5 near Airport Boulevard, one person was killed while two others sustained injuries.
On August 30, at around 11:52 pm, a 46-year-old man from Woodland was driving a Honda Accord south on the northbound side of Interstate 5 when he crashed into an oncoming Toyota Camry, the California Highway Patrol stated.
Following the impact, the Honda became airborne and collided with a northbound Volvo.
The driver of the Honda Accord was declared dead at the scene. While, the Toyota driver, a resident of Sacramento was severely injured.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Volvo suffered minor injuries in the crash. He is identified as a 38-year-old resident of Moore, Idaho.
An investigation of the cause of the accident is ongoing.
