Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 80 in Dixon

Dixon, California – A multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 in Dixon on early Monday morning killed one person according to the California Highway Patrol.

On September 7, at around 2:30 am, the accident occurred near Oday Road off-ramp in which four vehicles were involved.

The California Highway Patrol reported that two drivers pulled off to the centre median to exchange information after they were involved in the accident. While doing so, a third vehicle crashed into them. Moments later a fourth vehicle slammed into the three cars.

Due to the accident, one person was declared dead at the scene however his identity was not revealed.

The other drivers sustained minor injuries.

The CHP stated that there was no involvement of alcohol or drugs in the accident.

The accident remains under investigation.
