1 Hospitalized after Oakland Collision on Hegenberger Road
35-Year-Old Antioch Man Critically Injured in Oakland Van Crash on Hegenberger Road
Oakland, California – After the Oakland van accident that happened in the 500 block of Hegenberger Road on Thursday morning, one man was hospitalized.
The Oakland police stated that a 35-year-old Antioch man was driving a 2007 GMC Xfinity van that rear-ended with a City of Oakland flatbed truck in the southbound lanes near the offramp from Interstate 880.
On September 17, just after 7:45 am, the Oakland Police Department responded to the accident and found the van about to roll down the embankment. The officers stopped the vehicle from rolling and also put our the fire that was just started due to the crash.
Firefighters helped in extricating the van driver and then was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
However, the second driver was not injured.
The police are finding the cause of the accident.
